Hello, I have an automatic 2002 Honda Passport EX. It had been fine until recently when it's getting too cold. When I start the car in the morning, the "check engine" light would be on. The indicator light (which allows me to see if I'm at Park, Reverse, or Drive, and so on..) on the dash board won't lit on or will stay in Park even though I shifted to Drive and am driving. On top of that, 1st to 2nd (or 2nd back to 1st when I step on the brake) gear doesn't shift smoothly. And when I stop and restart the car, check engine light is gone, indicator lights and gear shifting work properly like nothing ever happened. I really think there's an electrical malfunction somewhere due to the freezing temp.; because all goes back to normal when the weather is 50 F and above. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Probably a good place to start would be to get the codes pulled to see if that can give you any direction..........
