Intermittent headlight Sign In

I have a 2007 Maxima non hid and i replaced all headlight bulbs last year but now the driver side will blink and then go off on high and low beam, they will come back on intermittently, so I don't think it is the bulbs, what could be going on

Re: Intermittent headlight Sign In

? Try swapping it with the other side and see if problem still exists. Do use bulb grease and do NOT touch headlight bulbs with your fingers many get very hot can fail over a finger's grease use clean paper to handle.
If you meant when that one goes nuts your high and low beams swap up and down could be auto dimming headlights don't know what to do might think it's time for high then change their mind back and forth - age old PITA with that feature. It could be a bad bulb new or not,

I can have on high beams and it will go out, then I can switch to low beams and its the same problem but 2 separate bulbs, one for highs and one for lows doing the same thing

Re: Intermittent headlight Sign In

Arggh - is there any way you can get these to act up when you are ready with some test equipment if just a test light to back probe the sockets? Usually you can see an issue or a wet/foggy lens inside is going to be troubles in time not long either if so.
You really should try hard to match the OE by specs, watts used hard to know if packaging doesn't say or place you got them didn't. Tough call to toss them again to find out if they behave totally for testing!

What was the reason for changing all the bulbs?

Re: Intermittent headlight Sign In

Have you tried putting your old bulbs into the new capsules?

Re: Intermittent headlight Sign In

There is no easy solution. You are going to have to do some testing.
