If you mean the PCM (power-train control module) it’s on the right inner fender near the firewall under the hood. Dan. Canadian "EH"

Is that what controls all the electrical stuff? Every now and then when it rains my heater motor runs even though the car is off. I end up with a dead battery

that's where it is. I've taken it out....taken it apart....it does have moisture in there. I've cleaned it and am putting it back. Wish me luck.

that's my next focus. From the looks of the GEM (what I thought was an ECU), the water seems to have traveled down the wire harnesses and worked its way into the guts of this contraption. This problem happens when the truck is just sitting out there in the rain which means that it's not coming from under the chassis. I think the water is getting in through those vent holes that are on either side of the windshield wipers. I've still got the dashboard apart so tomorrow I'm going to squirt a hose in that area and see where the water goes. Never a dull moment.

Just to note: Water can get in thru windshield seal. If you get water with a hose test let it dry and seal just the windshield with painter's tape and try it again. That would prove it if it stopped, T

unfortunately my hose test was inconclusive. I couldn't get any water at all to show up inside the truck yet I know that it can as evidenced by the moisture in the GEM.
