PLZ HELP ASAP Sign In

1994 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L wont shift out of park and the brake lights are not working but brakes still work and u can get it to shift manually bt as soon as u put it in park it will not shift unless u do it manually can anyone tell me what might be wrong?

The brake lights are the reason. Check your fuses and test for power both in and out of the brake light switch.

Were is the switch for the break lights? Is it the anti lock brake test plug next to the fuses under the hood? cuz i found a blown fuse under the hood and thats all i found, but i dont know what it was to because i dont have a manual??? I put a screw driver next to the shifter and shifted it manually, so i could get the car home off the road lol?

It's mounted on the pin that attaches the pushrod to the pedal.
