Power windows and locks

I have a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire SE 2.2 L/ 4 Cyl. engine with 143K miles. Recently I had to have a locksmith jimmy open my car. Afterwards the power windows started having trouble going up and down. Yesterday the window completely came off the track and the power doors on the drivers side make a grinding noise when I try to open it with a key fob. I don't have any problems with the passenger doors or windows. Any comments are very much appreciated.

Agie; I would think that a locksmith would 'know what he's doing', but it's possible that he 'disturbed' some linkage while trying to 'slim jim' the door lock. You'll need to remove the door panel and inspect to see what's going on. Could, and probably will, be a very simple fix. Loren SW Washington
