TRUCK HAS NO POWER Sign In

MY HUSBAND HAS A 1970 FORD F150 . HIS BATTERY WAS DYING SO HE REPLACED IT AND IT ACTULLAY ENDED UP BEING THE ALTERNATER SO HE REPLACED THAT , AND THEN ANOTHER BATTERY , WELL HE PUT THE BATTERY IN BACKWARDS AND ATHEN HE HAD SMOKE EVERYWHERE. SO HE FIXED THE BATTERY AND NOW THE TRUCK HAS NO POWER AT ALL. HE CAN START IT FROM UNDER THE HOOD FOR A SECOND . HE HAS CHANGE THE INGINTION COIL, CHECKED THE FUSES. HE CAN NOT FIGURE OUT WHERE THE PROBLEM IS. PLEASE HELP.

He needs to check fusible links. They are wires that act like a fuse. A test light will find where the problem is. He can probe the battery side of the fusible link and then probe the other side. At least one of them will have no current across the fusible link. Good luck.
