I'm trying to install a turn signal switch on a 2002 Kia Spectra GS 4 cyl. over 100,000 miles. No cruise control and has intermittent wipers. What I'd like to know that when trying to install the turn signal switch does the Air Bag have to be disengaged and the top of the Steering wheel get taken off.

Yes Air Bag and Steering Wheel need to be removed Disconnect the Negative Battery Cable first and wait 10 minutes for the battery back up power to discharge before removing the Air Bag I would recommend taking it to a qualified Mechanic if you do not have any experience with Air bags
