Hello again. I have a Honda Civic MK8 2009 1.4 Hatchback. My rear left window doesn't open(neither from its own switch neither from driver's switch). When i press the switch to open nothing happens(not any sound e.t.c.) I have checked my fuse but it doesnt look blown(i included a picture) https://ibb.co/F6XGkrF What can be the problem? Thank you

You could have a bad switch, bad motor or bad wiring. The 1st step would be to remove the switch and see if you are getting power and ground to the switch. If you are then the next thing to do would be to safely supply 12v and a good ground to the wires going to the motor to see if you can manually get the motor to go down ( and reverse the wires to go back up). A wiring diagram would be very helpful but we don't have that exact model in the states so I can't post one for you.

Fuse unknown by looks - trust me. Get an LED test light (cheap is fine) that will show ground and power by color of it. Just a scratch awl type handle has the bulb and a wire with clip to ground it. Now test the fuse and on to the switches for "alternating" power and ground to a working one and then to that one at it's switch at that door. It does or doesn't show reversing polarity of two leads to run a DC motor both change when a switch is touched for up or down. If it shows take panel off and look for the housing of the motor. Rear windows rarely get use you personally may use them more? Lack of use they just lose it see if you can remotely tap on the housing of motor it may fire up and work? Can see it draw current via looking at a dome light, key to enable all features but engine off that on overhead. Watch it dim when using a working one and then that one. Note it dim the same or nothing it's not taking power panel then needs to come off for more testing. Wild other? Does the door jam (on that door) have some "child-proof" feature to disable that window or anywhere else? See if it's in the correct position, T

One thing to add here is that if you follow Sidoms instructions of supplying power and ground to the motor to test it, you need to make sure the switch is disconnected when you do that. This circuit works by reversing polarity to reverse direction and if you don't disconnect the switch first, it may already be applying ground in the rest position so you will have a dead short if you put power to it while it is plugged in. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

First of all, if the one you showed is not from FUSE 33, forget what I say below. For me, it seems burned and corroded at connection pins (cause big voltage drop at high current), and this might be caused by overheat because of rusted socket in fuse box side. I check the diagram of 2009 CIVIC CX (not sure if any different with your MK8 ) and there are independent fuses for rear windows. If the one you take the photo is indeed from FUSE 33 (20A), you can do a quick test. Try to clean the fuse socket of FUSE 33 at fuse box side if it's burning mark, then take the FUSE 32 (20A, for rear right window) out and put it in FUSE 33 location to see it work or not.

Ok guys, I was about to take a photo from the manual to show you that there is a fuse for single window but you did it before me. Yes, this is the fuse 33. I am actually not going to test the fuse as I don't have the tool and if I order it it will need more than a month to arrive. I will just change the fuse(i will order fuses because I also want to change a fuse on another car) and see if it will work. If not I will not spend any more time or money on that window. Thank you again!!

Pics and this site don't mix well for me. I think I saw what the fuse type/style looks like, a funky spade with plastic in the middle. No cost, I'd take "centering" punch and dimple the spade ends carefully so make them fatter and bet it would contact better? You would just want a small vise or a maybe squish it effectively "knurling" which makes the spade wider and would then be sticky when installed and wear out the socket end so do that last try if those tools are in your collection! OMG just searched tools for that there are millions! > https://www.google.com/...biw=1261&bih=550 < I'd still just use a punch for this, T T
