Wiring Harness Sign In

1991 Toyota Camry Deluxe, 4 cyl. Sedan

I am trying to avoid the high price of going through the dealer.

My windows have quit working and I have found a bad connection in a wire harness. I need the wire harness that goes from the master window switches in the drivers armrest, thru the door frame, into the drivers kick panel.

I have been doing searches on the Internet but cannot find anything. Can someone tell me where I can get one?

Thanks
Harry

Re: Wiring Harness Sign In

Look, you have a 1991 Toyota. You should really thank your lucky stars if the dealer can even get you one without worrying about how much it costs. Your looking for virtually nonexistent part that likely isn't even made any more and probably hasn't been for many years. Aftermarket didn't sell it even when it was still new.

Re: Wiring Harness Sign In

Thanks for the information. No wonder it was so hard to find.

I guess I will have to see if it is possible to re-wire the one that's on the car.

Thanks
Harry

Yes, there are companies that repair them also but you would have to search around your area for that. Unless it's severely damaged, repairing it is the usual way to go.

Re: Wiring Harness Sign In

To add: Driver's doors in particular usually get openend and closed the most unless you are a taxi. Wires bend at the door jam hidden in a rubben snorkel and break. If that could be the issue just run a spliced in whole new wire if you find one with zero continutity,
