my car lost all power one night and i had to have it towed home i thought it was the alternator so i changed it and still would not charge so instead of doing this the first time i checked the fuse it was blown put a new fuse in then it was fine till last night i knew it blew cause my speed sensor and alternator are on the same fuse and my speedoquit i put six different fuses in and it poppped them as soon as i put them in so i think it is a short or broken wire but cannot find any thing, any body know what could be happening?

This is a major issue. I dont think DIY is the way to go here. When dealing with charge or start units, and their wiring, a little mishap could cost you a lot of money. There is definately a short somewhere, you will need someone to run a continuity test on your ALT wires. they will be able to tell you where the short is. Im sorry i couldnt be more help.
