airbag wiring question

2010 vw jetta 2.0 TDI .....short story ... my wife rear ended a truck. new rad,ac cond,intercooler,rad support,headlights,hood and one fender. it was right on the borderline of being totaled but i work at that shop its being fixed so was able to keep it. th reason i didnt want a total is because of the buy back ... vw is paying it off plus cutting a check for 4 grand. any way .. heres the help i need. in the accident the air bag trigger that bolts to the driver side rad support ..... both wired pulled out of the back of the plug ..... i got the plug apart to be able to fix the wires but i need to know are they on a positive and negative system ?? in other words the wires are blue and green if i remember correctly does it matter which wire goes where in the plug ?? i

Are you taking about G283? If so, the wire colors according to SI are yellow and brown. Yellow on pin 1 and brown on pin 2. Don't know if that sensor is polarity sensitive, but it shows it being solid state. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

not sure what g283 means ..lol sorry and ill double check tomorrow but i think the wires are green and blue ill try and get a pic of wires and sensor tomorrow

G283 is the name they give the front impact sensor in the service information. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

yes ... it is the front .... uses 2 bolts to mount to the rad support on driver side
