clicking noise Sign In

My grand am(2003,4cyl,71000 miles) is clicking..the unit that clicks when the turn signals are on and when the hazard lights are on..keeps on clicking clicking clicking ...I got a replacement one from a salvage yard and the same thing happens. I'm not out too much cash, but wondering if it could be falty too? The turn signal arm on the steering wheel could be replaced as a whole unit (new at around seventy dollars..ouch) no cheep fix for an annoying clicking sound

Re: clicking noise Sign In

The signal switches have been a problem with a lot of J body GM’s, without checking I ‘m thinking it’s likely the switch.

Re: clicking noise Sign In

THE problem HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF!! It was The signal switches...... Thanks for your input. I had to try a NEW hazard unit (where the actual clicking is coming from) dealer, parts guy said yeah! Thats the problem.......NOT......no returns on electrical..I guess I knew that .. turn signal lever and that intire assembly will be next thing to try...I believe, that is what you suggested... about $75.00 aftermarket price or $160.00 dealer..Thanks again
