2000 Silverado 2500 6.0
does anyone have a wiring diagram for the vent valve from the relay to the connector? I believe that I have a broken ground wire

No, the ground wire is the control wire. It goes to the PCM and that is how the valve is turned on and off. It receives constant power with key on.

Most of the time the problem is the valve itself mostly due to the conditions it is subject to.

well let me tell you a little more about what i'm against . I got a code po449 about the current being out of wack so I have checked the pink wire I've got 12.00 volts but I did not have a ground so ran a separate ground from the battery to the connection got a ground the valve is opening and closes but I still get a code.any ideals?

Of course you do. Get rid of that ground wire. The PCM decides when to open and close that valve through the ground. That's also how it sets the code.
