turn signal problem buick century Sign In

Ok...I bought my 16 yr old son a 1999 Buick Century (yep...he's real proud to drive a white 4 door "granny car"!!) and have been having problems with the right rear turn signal and the right front turn signal. Initally just the right rear signal bulb was blown..then it blew again...along with the front. Replacing both did not help. Now the front right turn signal will blink very very slowly (almost not a discernable blink) and the rear blinks really quickly. We've tried replacing the bulbs again but still they do not function properly. We've been told that there may be a problem with the right side ground...but can't figure out where that is so if anyone can advise it'd be appreciated!

Also wondering about relays and if this could be the problem...if so where are they located...we've been unable to find them either.
Thanks!!
Tami and son

I'm not real sure about your particular application. Something to double check, Make sure that the bulbs that you are installing are the right ones i.e. 3157 most likly. Also inspect the wiring harnesses near the lens for any damage. If the car has been wrecked the wires could be damaged. It sounds to me that you might have a bad flasher relay or switch. Did the brake light on the right side work normal? Was it brighter or dimmer than the left?? Do the Emergency Flashers work Normal?
