2002 lincoln town car 4.6l v8 105000 miles new 4 switch window lock assembly the drivers window works fine except if the car is left in direct sunlight for a few hours. i thought it was expansion causing binding, but if you try to help the window it won't move. the motor trips without even trying. move from sun wait an hour all is well????

put window DOWN park in sun for a few hours - see if window operates OR closes partially then stops. Thinking could be a warping of frame or channel, before opening door panel and doing elec tests.
