I'm working on a 2003 ford mustang 3.8 the transmission would not shift from park while running. while checking the brake switch i found some faulty wiring, i replaced the wiring only to find there was no power to the brake switch i then checked all related fuses none were blown but there is still no power I'm looking for any advice on what direction i should head next possibly something i overlooked or just flat missed thanks

The power comes directly from fuse #33 in the under dash fuse box. If you have power on both sides of that fuse, then you should have power on the light green with red wire at the switch. It comes back out on the red with light green but goes through another fuse (#41) before going to the turn signal switch for the brake lights. The shift interlock feed comes out of the switch on the red with light green and then goes through fuse # 35 and then on to the solenoid. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
