I have a 1998 ford explorer, I have problems with it in the winter, when its real cold outside it starts but dies right away, I have to press on the gas for a while when I start it so it wont shut off, when its finally running on its own, I can shut it off and start it with no problems, I dont have this problem in summer, can anybody help me?

your IAC valve is dirty/clogged and needs to be cleaned. i had the same problem on my brothers 2001 explorer. didnt throw a check engine code either. just disconnect the battery, remove the IAC, clean with intake/brake cleaner. reinstall IAC and batt terminals and start engine __________________________________________________ 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 Ford Ranger 2004 Toyota Corolla 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
