1999 Volvo S70 5 Cyl. This 1999 S70 Volvo has just 87K miles on it. I've already had 2 sensors replaced: PN# SPO 9496115 Engine Speed Sensor and PN #SPO 9495008 Vehicle Speed Sensor. Less than a week after having these sensors installed the same symptoms are happening again: Lack of power and/or acceleration, warning indicators are on: Brakes, ABS, Check Engine and Gear Box Malfunction. I was told that I need to replace the following modules: Engine Control Modules and Transmission Control Module. A new diagnostic test also showed there is fault w/ the following: ECM, TCM, Throttle Unit, ABS, CAN and BUS.

Don't go throwing parts at it. Find out whats wrong first before you go replacing stuff. My family has had many volvo's before including a 99 xc-70 so i know how much stuff cost for these cars cost and it takes special tools and knowledge to work on them. I'm not even going to guess whats wronge with it cause I don't know a lot about these newer volvo's, older ones are not such a problem. Hope you get her fixed. -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!
