2003 Toyota Corolla Code: P0770 Sign In

My car started out a few weeks ago making this flat tire noise when I accelerated faster (not a flat tire). It threw the code P0770 Shift Solenoid E. Bought it to a transmission place and they said my transmission was fine, said it sounded like a hub bearing... got that changed and oddly the noise went away so I thought my problem was solved. Week or two later, the noise returned. I decided to try changing the tires hoping it was just a tire noise. Next day the same code came on as well as the noise (just not as loud). Can anyone out there throw some suggestions out on what it could possibly be? My gears shift completely fine and there is no slippage or issues driving the car.

Your issue is that you are assuming the code and the noise are the same problem. They likely are not. You do have a transmission issue. It's just may not be the cause of your noise.
