Airbag fault code 24

Hello,
I have a 1998 24V DOHC V-6 sable getting a SRS Airbag lamp code 24.I searched and found it to be (ECS) Module Internal Fault??I am not sure where the location of this ECS?.Could it possibly be a bad connection or does it need to be replaced?I know not to take chances with airbags,I'm just wondering if there could be a safe check?The car was not in any accident it was sitting in my garage for a few weeks and then this happened.My scanner does not pick up any faults and maybe it is not equipped to.Any help would be appreciated.
