HONDA 02 Sensor P1162, P1167 Sign In

2001 Honda Accord EX Sedan 4-cyl. Manual Trans

Checked this after the CHECK ENGINE light came on. I am not noticing anything wrong with startup or the running of the engine.
Seems the Check ENGINE light comes on only sometimes and usually when the car has been driven for a good amount of time. I suppose when it gets heated up.

I'm getting:
P1162
P1167

The AutoZone readout says they are both for the 02 sensor.

My question is how do I know which one? Pre or Post Cat?

Just to make sure: The PRE CAT is the one in the front of the engine coming off the manifold's hot plate? And the POST CAT is the one underneath the car, correct?

OK, so then how do I know which one? What to look for in a bad one? Testing tips?

Thanks again in advance.

I'm not too sure but I think its for the bank 2 after the cat, but call the dealership to be sure.

It is the front one. You should only have 2. Here is a picture of it. It is called air/fuel sensor.

Thanks for the confirmation on that. Turns out the readout did tell me Primary (no. 1). and that is the one in the front coming off the head and manifold.

Thanks.
Recommend any brands?

Original equipment if you want it to last. Bosch may work in yours OK. The codes are for the heater circuit so look at the wiring really closely.
