Look for a scanner... Sign In

Hi everyone!!!

I`m brazilian and next year I will move to US. Actually I work with electronic, fuel injetion, can bus, on board systems, etc....
Here in Brazil the management systems are too different, 4 cylinders engine, Bosch or Magnetti Marelli, flex fuel, sonda correction, and when I need read imported car fault codes, I use a friend Icom BMW or Star MB, for example, my generic scanner only read brazilian models, maybe any Honda, Ford or Nissan made in Mexico for domestic market.
For example, I have a Accord 2.0 SOHC, model who does not exist in USA, because this 2.0 is only for AL and Asian, in USA this accord is 2.4 DOHC.
I know the correct to do is buy this diagnostics scanner for each make, but is very expensive.
I need a indication for a OBD2 scanner, generic, but a medium/good device.
Thanks a lot.

Sorry for my bad english!!!!!

I've been using an Autel MS908P. It's pretty awesome for the price. It does some programming too.

Our shop has the older Maxidas DS708 by Autel and it has good coverage and bidirectional control. I'd like to play with a MS908P.

We recently moved up. Entirely different machine. It's actually a working tablet. You can browse the web or do e-mail and chats.

It has a lot of programming capability too. Night and day from the 708
