"02 Nissan Sentra
120k miles
small 4 cyl (???)
Out of the blue will just flood for no apparent reason. Tried holding pedal to the floor, but no good. 2 hrs or 2 days later it starts and runs like a charm. Happened maybe 6 or8 times so far, no connections from 1 event to another. If I can't fix the problem, can I somehow "un"flood it with a chemical or a routine?
thanx,flinee

The "foot to floor" trick is usually the way to clear a flooded engine. Check wiring connections - especially the one to the coolant temp sensor (CTS) that tells ECU what temp the engine is to apply more fuel as when cold. My guess is it would default to lean but if corroded if may be sending the wrong signal - a guess,
