I have a 1989 toyota pickup 3.0 crank no start. But if I spray starting fluid in the air filter it will start up and runs a a very low idle intell it dies. You can drive it around in tell you shut it off and then try starting it again and cranks over but doest start. I've replaced spark plugs, plug wires, distribution cap, and fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator.

Sounds like you changed everything except the most logical thing. Obviously it's a fuel issue whether it may be electrical or mechanical.

You first step should have been to test the fuel pressure.

Here are the required specs

FUEL PRESSURE:

At Idle .................... 33 - 37 PSI (226 - 265 kPa)

At WOT .................... 38 - 44 PSI (265 - 304 kPa)
