Just replaced the motor last weekend. After we replaced the car now will not start. I have spark and fuel and have check the timing chain and distributor fifty times. They're both correct. I have also checked the fly wheel to make sure it was not off and replaced the crank sensor. The motor has good compression. I've checked for trouble codes it shows a "12". Which is not listed in my book. The car does back fire through the throttle body when trying to start. But after checking everything that has to do with timing I don't know what else to check. Any ideas?

It sounds like your distributor is 180 degrees off timing. Hope that helps!
