I have a 1993 Chevy 1500 pickup with 190,000 miles and a blown-up 4.3 V6 with throttle body injection. I have had no luck finding the same year motor, all i have is an 1987 4.3 V6 with throttle body injection. Is there any problems with mounting this motor into my truck? I've been told the 4.3s were "revised" in 1992, though I'm not sure what that means, as the motors look identical.

There can be unseen changes that make this a nighmare. At best you would have to swap over all sensors and some items still intact from the orig.

May I suggest you get some advice or a whole correct engine from a salvage yard. I don't have crossover software - they do at their fingertips!

Not generally allowed but so what in this case and a plug for a place that can help you by phone.

I just did a search on a used part site and in my zip code, found quite a few of them.
Problem,Most that did list mileage were high mileage engines.
Rest didnt have mileage...

Click here if you want to try it in your zip code...
