I had alot of problems with my sepertine belt, Midas couldnt find what was causing it everytime the belt started to shred i would bring it back and make them fix it.

I always told them there slogan "Trust the Midas touch" but now they really messed up my van.
Yesterday when i was driving i heard the belt ripping off and i turned off the van and called AAA. Now i have my buddie come over and check to see what the issue is he told me it was the Tensioner. So after 100 bucks in parts was bought and installed (tensioner and pully and new belt) the van didnt start. He check the fuses in the van then took off distributor cap and then started the van and didnt see the rotor spinning (it wasnt spining).

Then he said the timing belt is bad,
Does anyone else have any ideas what this could be happen? maybe something hes overlooking?
anything will help

p.s is my engine interference, or non interference engine?

Thanks
