I have a 1997 Ford Expedition and recently started driving rough after driving it in the rain. I took it to auto zone and got the engine checked out and the following troubleshooting codes came back: P0305, P0306, P0308, P0302 and P1406 When I accelerate my RPM just shoots up and Idles. I then lift up and slowly push on the gas. Meanwhile the "Check Engine Light" Flashes. I need to know what this could be. Please help, Thanks!

The code p1406 is saying that the downstream hose for the differential pressure feedback EGR sensor is either disconnected or clogged. Heres a pic of the system: http://postimage.org/image/mz7evayw1/ -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

The flashing SES indicates a severe misfire that could do damage to the cat. The P030x codes indicate which cylinders are having misfire problems (for whatever reason).......Since you've been in wet weather you are probably wanna check the plug tubes for moisture. If they're wet, at a minimum you are going to need to change out the coil boots but whatever you decide to do..............do it soon....... The 5.4s are good for blowing out plugs so if you change out the spark plugs, make sure they are properly torqued.....
