1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 and I'm looking for the gaps for spark plugs. I can not find the owners manual and the gap size on the old ones just look way to big. Having some fire issues with it so may be why due to the gaps.

>040 is the gap. If you are having misfire issues, I would relplace the plugs with new. If you are going to take them out, (if there are very many miles) I would replace them. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

Okay, the new bosch ones we got are at 40 but one of the old ones I took out are 60. I couldn't believe the difference in gap size from old to the new ones. Thank You

Let me add one more thing here. Bosch plugs are probably the worst choice of brands for that vehicle also. They work OK in Euro cars but I have traced numerous misfire problems in domestic engines back to new Bosch Platinum plugs. I know all the discount parts stores like to push them because they can't compete with the major brands of Champion, Delco, Autolite and Motorcraft. Jeep should be getting champions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Agree 100%! I wouldn't put Bosch platinums in my lawnmower! Loren SW Washington

Sigh. The wife won't let me have a riding mower. Just because our lawn is the size of a postage stamp....Geeez. Women? I told her that I could pull the grandkids up and down the street in the trailer that I would buy for it. Still, NO. They just don't get it. Loren SW Washington
