2000 Dodge Dakota Engine overheat Sign In

About 3 weeks ago my water pump broke, and my engine overheated. The pump was replaced asap and now when i drive smoke that smells like burn maple/tuna comes from my air vents and my windows are fogging up from the inside. Its more greasy then foggy. I know that any leftover debris/oil on the engine could have burnt when the engine over heated which could cause the smell. But i'm concerned about how long its been since the engine overheated. Could it possibly be my heater core? If not is there anything i can do to get rid of this smog? it's giving me the worst migraines!Mad lol
(the engine is a 6cyl, and my millage is around 130000)

groovygurl; I'm afraid that the heater core is leaking. That would explain the 'sweet' maple smell and the fogging of the windshield.

groovygurl; Mitchell manual calls for 5.6 hrs. labor which doesn't include recharging the A/C if neccessary. The heater core, itself, is about $70. Unsure
