Hi everyone, I need help! Today I was washing my car and figured I would wash under the hood as well. I used a bottle of soapy water and sprayed where needed and wiped with a damp cloth. I think I sprayed on top of the engine where there are six (6) spark plug holes and maybe some water got into one of them. I then attempted to start my car and the dash icons (near the speedometer) started going crazy blinking and such and the car would not turn over. but would click and the lights on the dash would go crazy. The engine wouldnt even make a noise. its been 2 hours now and I figured it would of dried if that were the problem however its still not turning over. not even a noise...I turn the key and its silence besides my radio turning on. Also, it seems that the power will dull out and windows and doors wont lock/roll up but after it sits for like 20 min they work just fine. its after i try to start the car that they do that. i'm plugging in a blow dryer now and am going to try to dry the spark plug wells incase water may have gotten into one of them. any help is greatly appreciated. the car is a 2002 VW Jetta with 80k on it ***UPDATE*** Now when I go to turn the key it is still just clicking like crazy and the radio is not coming on and the interior lights are dim as well as headlights. also when i turn the dash lights on everything lights up but my dash clock and mileage (both digital) turn off. I'm guessing my batter may have pooped out on my by coincidence maybe? also the my remote isnt working now (for the locks) going to have my father-in law come down tommorow and give me a jump to see if that works. I really think it should work. If anyone has any other suggestions or similiar situations please reply I would love to hear your input. Thanks in advance, Kevin

You are welcome. Typically on the site here most of the tech won't respond unless they have something to add. Although my post was short(sorry about that) you seemed to have the problem nailed and was just looking for confirmation. If you have any other problems give us another try. There are a lot of good folks here that are happy to share what they know, as you can see by browsing some of the other posts. Good Luck Jeff

Hey Kevin, You didn't go unattended and seemed the problem was found and solved so it just ends there. For more hits which you noted, simply state Year, make, model and question right in the subject line and search engines will move it up and tons of folks will stumble on it. Plain "help please" is going to be missed by almost all but the regulars here. As of this post and date it was only hit 34 times which is very low. Many with a model or problem in subject line get that in a minute! I'll change the subject on this post and watch how many hits it gets now and there's no more need for replies but it will get looked at, T
