Hi, My 2003 Expedition is having trouble starting up. The car cranks fine but takes a while for the engine to catch. The problem is worst during the heat of the day. The car runs very smoothly once the engine catches. The batter, starte and alternator have all been checked with no problems. I have been told it might be a problem with: fuel pump ignition module compression timing belt air/fuel filter fuel tank seal gasket vacuum leak I am looking for advice on where to start. I don't want to just start checking everything and throwing moeny at the problem without some idea of what these symptoms seem to indicate. Can I rule out any of the problems above? What should I try to fix first? Any advice would be very appreciated. Thanks!

Try to avoid just throwing stuff at it but nail it down. Try a code reading and fuel pressure test. Been retired a while now but one way back and not so old at the time had vacuum elbows that were all shot but it ran like crap all the time too, T
