so i drove my car about 5 blocks from my house, it seemed to be running fine then i stopped to pick up my mom and while waiting for her the car just shut off. then it wouldn't start up. the battery is fine and its making a noise like it wants to start but can't. its a 2005 chevy cavalier. anyone know what could be wrong with it? if its a starter how much should that cost to have it repaired?

If the car just shut off by itself that's not the starter itself. It may have lost spark or fuel for whatever reason and you want to know which is not there. If this car has a timing belt that hasn't been done and a lot of miles that needs to be checked out too,

Right now the spark plugs are not the problem by themselves. They are changed at intervals recommended in the owner's manual. They get worn with time and miles but don't just all fail at once,
