All right I have a really bad problem, this is my only car, and I can't afford a professional mechanic. I have a cousin who is a mechanic and is willing to change the parts out if I get them (he doesn't know the problem but he has reassembled engines before and knows how to put things in the right place so he said he can try if I get the parts). I am really low on cash so any help provided is greatly appreciated. If you know what's wrong please post what part(s) I need to change. Car Information: 2007 Ponitac Grand Prix 120k Miles *Was* running smoothly until about a month ago. No leaks or anything only previous problem was that it wouldn't crank. Looked it up and found a solution. The solution was to put the key in and let it sit for 10 minutes so it'll read the codes or whatever it was and register the key. It started fine when I did this. About a week or two ago I left the trunk open and my battery died. I tried to jumper it and now it won't start at all. When I plugged the jumper cables up the lights and sound went back on when the doors came open. But now when you try to start it there is this REALLY FAST ticking noise. The car horn goes off and the windshield wipers turn on and it sprays water on the windshield. All at the same time while it's making this ticking noise after you turn the key. Please help me with my problem what is wrong and what part do I need to get to fix it? It had 10 codes earlier and the sensors were the main problem. Now it only has two codes one being 650 and I can't tell you the other till later since my cousin who has the machine isn't here I will update and post the exact two codes when he comes by. But until then does anyone have any idea? This is my only form of transportation and without it I am really in a big pinch.

You need to have the battery tested. Also make sure the cable connections are clean and tight. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

With DS on this. Check the battery best if you can charge it first which may end this. Jumper cables on a totally dead battery unless really good ones won't always do it especially with side post battery cables. You also don't want to just let the car's alternator charge a battery back up if dead AND letting batteries get that low is harmful to the battery, T

all right I have the codes sorry i've been working so it took me forever P0030 P0036 P0201 P0202 P0203 P0204 P0205 P0206 P0443 U0107 P0030 Pending P0036 Pending These are the codes I took BEFORE I replaced the battery. It now has a new battery but I don't have the machine to plug in and read the codes at the moment. Do you think a new battery will change anything? If so i'll get a new set of codes. ANY HELP IS WANTED. ANY HELP PROVIDED IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

The battery has been replaced now? Does it start/run? If so, i would clear and pull codes again, as the battery may have contributed to causing these. ____________________________________________________ Willing to help, willing to learn... Rob

Thank you so much for the very quick responses! I will come back with new codes ASAP I am so appreciative towards all of you. This is really my only transportation to work and I need this car badly.
