2008 bmw e90 cylinder misfires after fuel leak ***STILL NEED HELP!!! Sign In

Year of vehicle-2008
Make of vehicle-BMW
Model of vehicle-335xi
Engine size-3.0 L
Mileage/Kilometers-167000

Hi I'm having a problem with my car, it was just running perfectly after a trip to the dealership for a fuel leak (which they didnt fix perfectly, long story)
Anyways, cutting to the chase, the number 1 cylinder injector bracket was not on correctly and the result was the injector hopping up and down until the aluminum high pressure fuel rod attached finally broke, spraying gas everywhere, I caught the problem immediately after I pulled the vehicle over, ordered a new fuel pipe and installed the bracket on the injector correctly...I cleaned up the pooled fuel around the injectors and started the car...everything ran and sounded great except for a tiny bit of smoke or vapor coming from around the 1st injector which I assumed could have been from excess fuel sneaking in around it.(I wasnt sure).the engine light was still on so I took it easy and then parked it to see if there was still the smoke or vapor problem and it was about the same..the engine light went off and I scanned the engine with an app... everything seemed to be fine...as I kept driving smoke started coming from the engine and I noticed all the ignition coils weren't staying suctioned down,(I was driving without the engine cover) the vehicle was shaking a bit, and I got a blinking engine light and an engine management light so I immediately turned off the car...the fan was on high...started it, stopped it, the fan was good.....the next scan came up with all 6 cylinders misfiring and low pressure to turbos(I've included a picture)..I.does anyone have any idea what might be the issue? first thing I'm going to do is go to the root of the issue and pull the first fuel injector to see if there is any excess fuel once I have the car towed back to my home but until then I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of what might be the issue?

In Reply To
.as I kept driving smoke started coming from the engine and I noticed all the ignition coils weren't staying auctioned down,

Please explain what "auctioned down" means.

Sorry it was supposed to say suction..not auction...all the ignition coils where loose where normally thwre would be resistance because of suction....I've edited the post now.

What suction? There is no suction to hold coils in. The are just held in the the rubber seals.

Really? When I first pulled them another time i was working on the car there was resistance and a popping sound from suction. This time they were just sitting loose. Wither way that fact doesnt really help me with my problem.

I can't know what you did wrong here. I'm not there to see.

If I was to take a wild guess I would say that you may have crossed the wires and put the wrong plugs on the wrong injectors.

Make sure the plugs are fully seated into the coils and the cap locks close easily.

Why are you trying to fix something the dealership caused anyway?

I was able to fix the problem before they would be able to. Plus they left the fact they apparently fixed a "fuel rail issue" off the bill. I figured it was my word against theirs so I did it myself...I'll definitely check out what you said next time I'm at the car..I very well may have done that.

Only thing is I removed the 1 and 2 coil to fix the original problem and when I reconnected them the car drove fine at first...then when I stopped again to check on the engine and started the car again that's when the problem started with the misfires....I didnt mention that in the first post.
