I have a '94 Cadillac Fleetwood 5.7L with 80,000 miles. The car will run good and idle good. When it runs a couple of minutes, and almost running a little hot, when the fan is supposed to click on, additionally ,or 1-5 seconds, the car shuts down. It makes a popping sound. Whenever I wait a few minutes til it cools down, the car fires up again. And it does the exact same thing, when the temperature is enough to click the fan on, it shuts down. I changed the thermostat , fuel pump, and the temperature sensor. It still does the exact same thing. Another question, the fuel pump has two lines, one s together come from the driver side, and one comes from the passenger side. And the fuel pump has 3 lines. One line is bigger than the two other lines. The big one is the fuel. I need to make sure what the other lines are. I changed both sides and they did the same thing. One from the passenger side, and one from the return fuel side. I swapped them both and they did the same thing. Thanks for your advice.
