Hey, I'm actually stumped and have turned tot he forum! I have a van in my stall at work, it was brought in for some f/e repair and a stinking exhaust. We changed the 02 sensor as it was bad, and the stink went away. I noticed before I did the repair I was test driving it. It would kind of sputter and then it would smooth out. Well I hooked up the tech 2 and the fuel trim will go from 100 to 170 at idle every once and awhile, it'd sputter then smooth out. I have checked fuel pressure, flow, for vacuum leaks, and egr, all fine. I really am at a stand still. It doesn't do it all the time. I drove it 15 miles and then let it idle for 15 minutes and it ran perfect, fuel trim was 125-130 the whole time. Let it sit for ten minutes then started it to let it idle, and withing in 3 minutes it was doing it. It seems like the cooling fans turning on sometimes will trigger it, but i'm lost. Any help is appreciated.

I would try giving the ECM a couple raps while it's idling. There's a good chance it's a bad ECM but you also need to check grounds and power supplies and the 5v reference. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I'll check it out, according to the customer, of course it never did it before.
