OK so i have a new problem. I just replaced the fuel spider and the oil in my 1995 chevy blazer, 75k miles, 4.3L vortec engine "W" 4wd. Everything is going along smoothly except when I tried to start it I found that the battery is dead. I got a jump off another car, and went to start it. It kicked over and ran for about a second then just cut out. I tried this about 5 or 6 times and got the same results. I'm getting pretty pissed at this point and its rather cold out which doesn't help. Anyone have an idea whats going on? thanks a lot Mike

Of course, check all of your connections. If the battery drained down far enough, the ECM may have lost idle stratedgies, and will require re-learn. The engine could be severely fouled from all of the fuel leaking into the intake manifold. You may have to remove and clean/replace the spark plugs. Loren SW Washington

Very good point. You may want to pull a couple of plugs to see if they are fuel fouled. Or, conversely, not getting any fuel. Check to make sure you are getting spark to the plugs during crank, and fuel pressure to the fuel rail. Loren SW Washington

It hasn't been long since I changed the rotor, cap, wires and plugs.. I'm starting to wonder if it is my IAC valve.

I understand, but with the injection leak it is very possible that the plugs are fuel fouled. WOT (wide open throttle) may be able to clear flood, but should take a look, first. Loren SW Washington
