I have a 95 mustang 3.8. It will stall after about 10 miles driving when stopping. Will restart and run fine until it cools down again. Has any one else had this problem? Thanks

Is this a hot engine problem or a cold engine problem? You said you had to drive it 10 mile but wouldn't act up again until cool? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

the engine is operating at normal temperature. it usually stalls at the first stop after the engine warms up, 8-10 miles down the road. it restarts and runs fine until it sets for several hours, dose not stall all the time. I have checked the idle air control, the coolant temperature sensor, and the Mass Airflow sensor. Do you have any ideas?

The only possible way to diagnose this is to determine exactly which function drops out first when this dies, ie; spark, fuel pressure or injector pulse and that won't be easy to do.

Tthanks for responding. I guess i will have to wait until won't restart so I can find the problem.
