I know yall have helping me a lot in the past and that why Im coming back for your help again. PS Thanks again for the help! When ever I start to hit my brakes my RPMs drop low at about 700 RPMs and acts like its gonna stall but it never does. But then it jumps back up to idle. Also on my gas pedal when i hit it i hear rattling noise like something is lose but then if i push the pedal a little further it stops. It just sounds like something is lose.

Any luck with the problem? I have a 94 Geo Prizm LSI 1.8 L, and I'm having the same problem with the brakes and the idle. I'm guessing it's a vacuum leak. I just ordered a vacuum tester, and I'll keep you updated.

kevin; The power brake booster requires a massive amount of engine vacuum to operate. Listen, under the dash, while depressing the brake pedal (with the engine running) for a hissing sound. Also, check for any vacuum leaks under the hood. Loren SW Washington

kevinthehawk We can't address more than one vehicle within the same thread. It gets way too confusing with 2 people talking about 2 different cars. It will work a lot better is you start a fresh question of your own. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

kevin/audio; Are you the same person with the same problem? If so, you need to check for vacuum leaks as previously said. If a different person with a different problem, try some vacuum stop leak. It's kind of like radiator stop leak. Usually, right near the blinker fluid at the parts store. Loren SW Washington

Im the one that started the thread and then the other guy had seen that he had the same problem and was asking advice on it too. sorry for the confusion. I hope the problem that we both have works out.lol. But it seems we are both in the same boat. I will try to find the stop leak stuff and see if that does the problem and hopefully the same goes for the other guy! Thanks!

audio; My reply was 'tongue in cheek'. Just kidding you about the vacuum stop leak. A trick to finding a vacuum leak, you can hold a piece of hose to your ear while moving it around to different areas of the engine. The hose will amplify all noises, including a vacuum leak. You may be able to pin point where it is, that way. If you just can't find it, Snap On makes a 'smoke' machine, which most shops will have. Can be a bit expensive of a test, usually about an hours' labor, but if there is a leak, that will find it. Loren SW Washington

Ok ill try that...Theres a guy that comes to our glass shop and he drives a Snap on van which is like the size of an RV.When you look inside this thing you feel like your in heaven looking at all those tools! Its awesome! lol but ill ask him if he has anything that will help me out. I think a friend of mine had one of those tools you use for putting down in the engine and its the tube to listen for.
