hey guys i have a jeep grand cherokee 1996 model with a 6 cyl. 4.0 eng. When i start it up in the morning times in the fall so it seems being that the temp. outside is cooler normally. my jeep sounds like its missing. i go to take off and it bucks around for a moment and the other morning i put the pedal to the floor and it sputtered like a PAP PAP PAP PAP PAP and so forth. It only lasts a few minutes most of the time but what would make it do that? Thanks for the help Ben from THE N.O.

It probably is missing for that period. This could be due to numerous different things. Start out looking at plugs, wires, cap and rotor. They are the #1 suspects. If none of them have a problem, then you have to look at the fuel injector. Professionally pressure cleaning them may help.
