Car is completely dead

I have a 1999 Lexus ES300. I drove it quite a bit tonight, probably around 150 miles and it worked fine all night; however, when I came in to park my car I put it in reverse to back the car up and right when I was stopping to finish parking my car and lights flickered off for a second. Needless to say I was a little worried to turn it off afraid it wouldn't start back up. When I turned it off it made a clicking noise from the engine and then the whole car went dead. All lights and everything. The car won't try to turn over when I try to start it back up. The battery is brand new (about three months old). When my wife opened her door to get out the light came back on and I was able to start it up again, but then when I turned it back off it did the same thing as the first time. I am hoping it is just a fuse or something... Any ideas??? Please let me know. Thanks.

Check all battery cable connections for starters. Does this engine put the starter in the "V" of the engine out of sight? Those can take a whole weekend to get to if there's a problem there! T
