Coolant flows from reservoir with heater on

I recently had a head gasket repair. It was a cheap sealant so bear in mind that could be the cause of this problem, but I want to be sure before I give up. I was driving home and it was overheating it would kind of bounce between normal temperatures and higher, gradually increasing until it got to dangerous levels. I thought I would give one last ditch effort at bleeding air out of the lines just in case my mechanic didnt. I filled it, shut it off, then turned it on again with the blower on max defrost, once I did this a steady flow of water proceeded to gush out of the open reservoir cap. Does this sound like a busted head gasket or could there be something else? I have already changed water pump and thermostat. Thanks for your time.

If that junk worked they wouldn't sell gaskets and seals at parts stores. There would just be a wall of bottles. This cheap sealant is going to cost you way more than a head gasket job properly done ever would've. I second HT on that, you now will need a whole engine plus a heater core and radiator.

Jackh954: YOU were the one who called this a "repair" and not aware that most of that junk in a can not only doesn't work but can cause the demise of an engine not stated by the makers of that junk. I'm confident that both HT and Nick can speak for themselves about your attitude. YOU messed up, they didn't and you have the audacity to call them dicks! Huh....... T

I'm not wasting my typing. Just close this thing out. He can find out the hard way.
