1997 Vauxhall Corsa, 1.2 engine. About 87,000 miles. Car wouldn't start last Monday. Tried it again yesterday and the engine started no problem twice! But I stupidly didn't take it for a run! Was hungover so was just testing. Today it won't start again however electronics, lights etc are working no problem. And when turning fully to start engine, oil light flashes and makes a clicking noice. I have checked and filled oil. Does this just sound like battery needs charging? I have had it for 3 years and never had a problem with it. Never had to replace battery or charge it either. Thank you. Carrie-Ann

Yes start off with charging & testing the battery, clean the cables and see how that works out.

Exactly as Sidom suggested. Just make sure you have battery charged and load tested. I suspect it will fail but probably also must have clean connections. 3 years can be enough on some batteries. They don't like being discharged which can speed up their demise........... T
