Hard starting Chevy van
1997 3500 chevy cube van hard starting 12200 miles. Had the starter, altenater, and battery checked out on a diagnostic machine and everything checked out ok. Fires after a lot of cranking but will only start with starting spray that I do not like to use. Runs fine after it starts.

Agree with Kev. Check for excessive fuel pressure drain back when the pump turns off also. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Glad to hear of the fix. Yes - 55PSI too low. Do yourself a favor and don't let fuel run low as the pumps really don't like that. Next time under side rustproof up those fuel filters with the flare nut line to filter as they can snap right up or just be a total pest without breaking line or they are in areas that even rust a little over time. I'll lock thread to keep spammers out. Can re-open it at your request by any moderator, T
