Misfires; where to start? A misfire can be caused by many things or a combination of things; engine in poor state of tune, vacuum leaks, low fuel pressure, dirty injectors, ignition system issues, emission control devices not functioning properly and the list could go on. With each one of the things I’ve mentioned, they branch out again; giving us even more possible suspects, as to why the engine is misfiring. So for us to tell you, go and try something; would be a complete guess on our part. The vehicle needs to be properly scanned (not just connected to a code reader) to check sensor inputs. From there other equipment will likely be needed, to test the fuel, ignition and emission systems. Sorry but there’s not always a silver bullet repair, after retrieving stored trouble codes. Codes give us a general direction to look; from there it’s up to the tech to figure out why the code(s) were tripped. Dan. Canadian "EH"
