1993 Nissan Altima GXE 4cyl, 2.4L 160k miles I know, first responce will be the most obvious! GET A NEW CAR! I like it, and for the time being I need it to last atleast another month until I get a newer car. Here is my issue. My car hesitates, badly! If my car is in park I feel it jerk, power loss, I look at my RPM's and it spikes with the jerks (Not high but enough to see it move alot) if I am at a stop light it jerks badly, when I shift this into Neutral I get little to no hesitation. When I tap the gas to take off it almost dont want to, if I granny pedal it it feels like it will stall (though so far it never does) if I apply more pressure to the gas pedal then it will take off faster (obvious) but with less hesitation. About 6 months ago the car died, took nearly 1 week to realize it was simply my dist cap and rotor arm needing to be replaced. Now, I have a slight idea as to what the prob could be, im not a mech and dont really know past what I have fixed on this car, but if I had to guess I would say either Fuel pump or Fuel Injectors! Now I dumped in 3 bottles of lucus and it seemed to help a little for about a whole week, then back to worse, not its way worse. Now I could be wrong, this could be the end of the engine, I just cant afford that option lol so I am trying to trouble shoot this without blowing money I dont really have at the moment. Any ideas?

?? Are you up to date with all suggested maintenance on this car? I find Chevron's "Techron" is a more effective injector cleaner but it might take a machine cleaning if the injectors. Only you can decide based on overall condition of the car to give up or attack the issues. It totally depends and the condition now and history of maintenance to proceed or give up. I've owned stuff decades older and more miles but with hysterical history of care so this age and miles isn't necessarily the issue, T
