Re: 96 jeep grand cherokee Sign In

I've been having the same problem. Mine last a lot longer though in the morning, and it's not neccessarily when it's cold outside. It was bucking just like the other comment said all the way to work, which is only 5 miles.. then I took it out on a break and nothing.. It seems like ones the fluids have ran through it for a while it's much better or almost appears to be gone.. It will still buck occasionally tho.. I recently had a new computer put in because that and my crank shaft sensor went out. I wonder if someone messed up my fuel injectors or got my plugs and wires dirty. They were poking around alot to figure out why my car wasn't turning over all of a sudden.
Anyway, is this bucking nonsense hurting my car.. ? I looked at the air filter and it was dirty but not extremely dirty.. I know I need to get it looked at, but I'm really dreading it.. I just spend almost 700 to repair what was repaired.. :(

You posted to a year old question so I started a new question for you. You will get better responses this way.

Should I take it back to the mechanic that fixed it? Is that just some regular maintenance/tune-up on the computer that's necessary after you've swaped it out?

Re: 96 jeep grand cherokee Sign In

I'm not sure you would call that regular maintainence but if the engine has some new problems and it stores a code, you will have a place to start!
