Should I get my oil system fixed or start car shopping Sign In

2006 Ford Escape 3.0, about 168k miles

I've been having trouble with my oil pressure. I just got the oil and filter changed and the system flushed. The oil light started coming on again while it was idling. I'm limping it along with oil additive, but I've been told repairing the worn parts would be time consuming and expensive.
Should I bother getting this fixed or should I look into getting a different car?

The only logical thing to do if you like the car is put a used engine in it. The decision would depend on what condition the rest of the car is in what if any other repairs are in the near future.
