I have a 1997 GMC Sonoma pickup It has a 2.2L 4 cylinder When it has sat overnight, even on the coldest days, it will start up immediately but after warming up, if it's shut off for as little as 15 minutes, it's very hard to start again, even after several hours. I thought possibly it was a fuel filter problem but replacing that did not help. Any advice/ideas on this please and thank you.

You need to find out what is missing while it won't start. You need to test for spark, fuel pressure and injection pulse. Are there any codes? If so what are the exact numbers?
